University of Leeds and ELAROS to deliver national Long Covid service evaluation for NHS England

NHS England has commissioned the University of Leeds team and ELAROS to deliver an evaluation of outcomes in a sample of 14 Long COVID (LC) services in England using the ELAROS Digital Patient Reported Outcome Measures (DPROMs), the C19-YRS, platform for recording outcome measures.

The service evaluation aims to understand:

a) the extent of symptom burden and functional disability in individuals accessing care in NHS-funded LC services;

b) condition trajectories and the extent of change in the severity of the condition in individuals receiving care in these services.

This report will aim to provide details on data collection methods, participants, PROM data analysis, interpretation of results, and clinical implication. Furthermore, it will also aim to find the limitations in interpreting the results and makes recommendations for future work to be undertaken by NHS England, LC services, local commissioners, and individuals with LC.
